Bulletin Board - Directorate of Town Planning & Sharjah Survey

RSI QMS, Directorate of Town Planning and Survey

Directorate of Sharjah Survey and Town Planning, the largest government department in Sharjah , replaces their 10 years old queuing system with highly sophisticated RSI QMS

The Directorate of Town Planning and Survey was established as a government corporation under Law No. (2) for 1998 issued by Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi  on June 3, 1998. The objectives and tasks of the directorate in general is preparing the comprehensive plan of the region and reviewing the plans of the cities, suburbs and districts in the Sharjah region. As the directorate is performing a large set of important activities which creates the basis of the infrastructure development in the region, it receives a huge amount of population from different parts of the regions requesting services of different nature with an intention of getting served to the earliest and the best possible way.

The directorate already has a queue system in place from 10 years installed by one of the market pioneers but the system wasn’t meeting to the needs of the top management in terms of producing statistical reports and providing a 360 degree view of the kind of services being requests by the customers visiting the organization. Hence the directorate decided to choose RSI Queue Management System which had the most sophisticated features and capabilities to generate complex reports providing all desired views to the management for the operations performed by the service agents.

“We are happy and I am extremely proud of our ability to tailor RSI Queue Management System to the exact needs of the Directorate including the integration with their high end GIS system developed by a german company. I strongly believe that RSI Queue Management System will improve the customer service provided by the department, decrease the service time and help the staff to improve their productivity by serving more customers during their working slot” , says Shehzad Asghar Saddiq, the Product Manager for Queuing System at RSI Concepts.
